1994 was a big year. The Lion King, Forrest Gump, The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Muriel’s Wedding were drawing in the crowds at the Box Office. Oasis and Bryan Adams and Ace of Base were topping the charts and we said goodbye to Kurt Cobain. We watched the first episode of Friends and the Sony Playstation was on every kid’s Christmas list. Paul Keating was Prime Minister and Charles and Diana split. Queensland won the Origin, West Coast the AFL and Canberra the NRL Grand Finals.
It was also the year LaTrobe University created a Touch Club.
There have been many great times had by the members of LTUTC in the past 2 decades, both on and off the field. Many great sporting achievements by individuals and teams, many fun social events and success in local and intervarsity competitions.
The club partakes in mid-week competitions at Fawkner Park, fields teams in local and interstate tournaments such as Portland and Sale Tournaments, sends a squad of University students away to the Southern University Games and Australian University Games.
The Club holds weekly trainings based out of the La Trobe University Melbourne Campus located in Bundoora and has various social outings throughout the year, including pub crawls, rugby match outings and nights out.
