Our Club Coach is the wonderfully talented Kim Butler.
Kim, originally hailing from Niagara in Canada, she started playing touch football in 1991 and soon after made her way into playing with the Barbarians/Crusaders Southern States Representative team. She is well known in the Victorian Touch Circles as a committed and passionate touch player, playing in numerous teams every week and putting her body on the line in every game.
Kim first got involved with the La Trobe Touch Football Club when she was asked to coach the La Trobe University Mixed team by a local Diamond Valley Touch player in 1994. Since she has coached LTUTC teams in the lead up to Southern University Games and Australian University Games. She was awarded a "Platinum Jumper" at the LTUTC 20th Anniversary, as recognition for her work within the club as one of the 12 most influential club members since the club's foundation.
She's represented Victoria on numerous occasions, played in the National Touch League tournaments for many years and is also involved in the running of the Northern Phoenix Touch Football Club which competes in the Victorian Touch League.
Kim states that she loves touch because "it's great for fitness, competitive, fun and great to play with friends". She is not only a great player and coach, but a wonderful ambassador for Touch Football in Victoria.
The La Trobe University Touch Football Club is very excited to have Kim back on board as club coach in 2016.
